Agricultural Education
Agricultural Education offers students the opportunity to take a wide assortment of agricultural courses. It is probably the closest thing you can get to a "General Agriculture" degree. Students take course work in areas of Animal Science, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Mechanics, etc.
Most Ag Education majors are preparing to teach agriculture at the high school level. Some Ag Education majors may prefer to seek careers in extension or other sectors where "people" skills are highly valued.
NJC is one of the few remaining colleges that offer a wide range of agricultural mechanics courses that are invaluable to those wishing to teach high school vocational agriculture.
