Instructions to apply for Parent Plus Loan

  1. Log on to: www.studentloans.gov
  2. Click on the green SIGN IN button.
  3. Provide required information to sign in.
  4. Click on 'Request a Plus Loan'
  5. Click on 'Parent Plus' and complete Application.

You will be notified immediately if you have been accepted or denied. If you are accepted and wish to proceed with the loan, you will need to complete a Master Promissory Note on the same website.

Instructions to Accept Subsidized Loan

  1. Visit the NJC website at: www.njc.edu
  2. Click on NJC Access, upper right corner, log in.
  3. Click on Student Finance tab
  4. Click on in ‘financialaidaward’ link in Financial Award Box
  5. Select Aid Year 2011-2012
  6. Click on Accept Award Offer tab, far right
  7. Click on subsidized loan drop down box, click ACCEPT and then submit.
**Below the submit button there is a link to www.studentloans.gov so that you can complete your Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note required prior to your loan funds being certified.
