A student theater production

Sterling, Colo. – The Theatre Program at Northeastern Junior College is proud to announce three performances of “You Can’t Take It with You” by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. Performances will be April 17-19 at 7 p.m. in the Dorothy J. Corsberg Theater in E.S. French Hall on campus.

Spring Play

Ballet practice with Hope Lugo as Essie, Jonathan Dilka as Kolenkhov, and Donnie Wright as Ed.

This Pulitzer Prize winning play is about a 1930’s family of madcap eccentrics who march to the beat of their own drum. Their lifestyle of collecting snakes, building fireworks in the basement, and taking ballet lessons gets upended when one of the daughters wants to bring her fiancé and his Wall Street family to dinner. What follows is an adventurous series of mishaps and misunderstandings that threaten the very existence of this quirky family.
This romantic comedy with endearing characters and unforgettable plot twists will leave you refreshed and in love with life. Tickets for each performance can be picked up at 6 p.m. in the lobby of E.S. French. Tickets are $5 for community members and free for NJC students, faculty and staff.
