Special scholarship awarded to eight non-traditional students

Nov. 12, 2018, Sterling, Colo. – Northeastern Junior College is proud to announce the fall 2018 Daniels Fund Boundless Opportunity Scholarship (BOS) recipients. This scholarship is designed to benefit motivated non-traditional students who recognize the power of education to create a better life for themselves and their families. The recipients are Kristyn Schneider, Kimberly Clegg, Leann Seybold, Dana Fleckenstein and Vitaly Zagidulin, all from Sterling, Colo.; Valerie Ramirez from Snyder, Colo.; Steven Doyle from Ft. Collins, Colo.; and Amber Wade from Yuma, Colo.

These need-based scholarships are available to specific student populations including adults entering or returning to college, GED recipients, veterans entering or returning to college, former foster care youth, former juvenile justice youth, individuals pursuing EMT/paramedic training, individuals pursuing Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification and individuals training for certain high-demand careers through select training programs.

“Boundless Opportunity Scholarships benefit non-traditional students who desire to create a better life by investing in their education,” said Linda Childears, president and CEO of the Daniels Fund. “As our founder Bill Daniels once said, ‘America remains the greatest nation on Earth, where boundless opportunities still exist for each and every one of us.’”
