Students Alcatraz

By: Christina Korf, Intern Northeastern Marketing Department

January 9, 2018, Sterling, CO - Members of the Criminal Justice club at Northeastern Junior College enjoy many enriching opportunities this past semester. On December 1, 2017, the Criminal Justice Club traveled to the famous prison, Alcatraz located in San Francisco, California. The funds for this trip were provided by local business donations, allocations through the student government, and club fundraisers. Trinidad Produce Market donates popcorn kernels, which the team used to sell popcorn every Friday in the E.S. French's atrium. Additionally, the Criminal Justice club joined forces with the Theater students, in an effort to entertain the student body with their bi-annual murder mystery dinners. All of these efforts combined, provided the funds to enable fun activities for not only the club but the student body and community as well. Most importantly, opportunities for educational experiences are made possible. If you are interested in a memorable club experience and are interested in taking part of the exciting and rewarding career of Criminal Justice, join our Criminal Justice club!
