The music department at Northeastern Junior College will present its Spring Ensemble on Saturday, May 3rd at 7 p.m. in the Dorothy Corsberg Theatre in E.S. French Hall located on campus. Always an end of year favorite, this year’s show is sure to be a crowd pleaser as well.
Performing during the evening will be the NJC Chamber Choir performing traditional choral music, the NJC Contemporary Choir performing some current hits, and the NJC Jazz Band performing numerous famous jazz band pieces.
This will be one of the last shows to take place in the Dorothy Corsberg Theatre before the building undergoes major renovation beginning in May. There is a $3 admission fee to this Spring Ensemble for the general public. NJC students, faculty and staff will be admitted free.
The Master Chorale will do a final spring concert on Sunday, May 4th at 4 p.m. which will also feature some NJC talent. NJC piano instructor Mary Smith and NJC sophomore Steven Cordova will be performing Gottschalk's "Grand Tarantelle” among the many musical offerings to be part of this show. Admission to this Master Chorale production is $10.00 for adults. Students and Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
