Northeastern Junior College Vice President of Finance and Administration Brenda Lauer has accepted the position of Interim Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs. She will begin her new duties there on August 1st. The announcement was made on Thursday by NJC president Jay Lee.
Lauer started at NJC in 1985 and has served the institution as an instructor, division chair, student club advisor, athletics statistician, and most recently, as a top level administrator. Over the next two months, she will assist NJC in the transition plans within the office of Finance and Administrative Services.
“Brenda is, and always will be, a strong advocate for Northeastern Junior College,” notes Lee. “She is recognized by her colleagues on campus and across the state as a leader and insightful manager of the budget process. She has had a her never-ending devotion to the students and the institution. Brenda’s departure leaves a big hole in the fabric that is NJC. “
