Former Plainswomen Volleyball Members Compete in Post-Season Play

Trevor Varley: Sports Information Director

Two former members of the NJC Volleyball program have recently had the opportunity to compete in post season play at the four year level.  Juniors Morgan Woodruff and Caroline Berger helped their respective teams compete this year to playoff berths.

Morgan Woodruff is currently a junior at West Texas A&M, a four year institution at the NCAA Division II level.  The Lady Buffs finished the regular season with a 33-5 overall record and claimed their 12th Regional Championship.  They are set for a NCAA Quarterfinal match-up with Brigham-Young Hawaii this week.

Caroline Berger is currently a junior at Columbia College in Missouri.  The Lady Cougars finished their season with a 42-2 record and a Runner Up finish at the NAIA National Championships.  Berger played a major role in this year’s Cougar run.  Berger finished 3rd on the team in kills with 332 and second on the team in kill percentage at 609.72.

The Plainsmen Athletic Department is very proud of these two young ladies for continuing the rich tradition of NJC Volleyball.
