CASPER, Wyo. -- The Northeastern Junior College Plainswomen are moving on to the quarter-finals after taking down Northwest on Sunday night. The Plainswomen played their game, keeping things moving and wearing down Northwest late for a 94-81 victory.
The game was close early, with NJC holding just a two-point edge at the half, but the five and five rotation did what it should, wearing down the opposition and allowing the fresh legs to buy room late in the game.
Hanna Pollart led the Plainswomen off the bench, scoring 19 in the win.
Maty Diallo, the big sophomore form Senegal, Africa, had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Alicia Nichols and Adaugo Osuala each scored 14 with Osuala getting eight rebounds and four assists as well. Lynnae Cox scored 10, wrapping up the double-digit scorers.
With the win, the Plainswomen will be back in action tonight as they face Casper College at 7 p.m.
Casper defeated Eastern Wyoming 82-67 in their first game.
