Perfect practice makes perfect
Our practice facility is second-to-none. We have 3 arenas including an indoor facility. We also have a race track to easily exercise horses on. NJC is equipped with 60 covered runs within riding distance to the arenas. Here we provide the students in the rodeo program with plenty of practice livestock ensuring quality practices. Weekly practice includes calf roping, team roping, breakaway roping, steer wrestling, goat tying and barrel racing. Tuesday through Friday all the events are practiced starting at 3 pm.
Preparation is the Key to Success
The work ethic, drive and intensity of the NJC practice pen is incredible. This team takes pride in the amount of preparation it puts into getting ready for college rodeos.
