You can expect on Registration Day to complete:
  • A Fall 2017 Schedule!
  • Academic Advising
  • Parent Information Session
  • iPad Information Sessions
  • FAFSA and Financial Aid Workshop (Bring your parents' tax information)
  • Verifying your Housing and Financial Aid
  • Campus Tours
  • and so much more!

You are required to complete the following checklist before coming to Registration Day!

1. Check your email for the registration confirmation email. 
    • This email will have important information including: 
        o Location/Time for Check-In
        o Any Holds or Missing Items from your Registration Packet
        o Detailed Schedule
2. Bring a Valid Photo I.D. 
    • Includes: State issued I.D., Driver’s License, Passport, or Current High School I.D.
3. Parking is FREE! View a campus map. You will begin in the ES French building
4. If needed, take the placement test! 
• Testing is available on Registration Days (not April 21), but will take a considerable amount of time and we strongly encourage students to complete testing ahead of time.
• All Community Colleges within the Colorado Community College System offer the Accuplacer Placement Test that you can take closer to home.
• To see if you need to take the Accuplacer Placement Test please check the website or contact the Student Success Center at (970)521-6663.

5. If you would like to change your major. 
    • If you decided on a different major from what you originally noted on your registration reservation, please contact the Student Success Center at njcstudentsuccesscenter@njc.edu or (970)521-6663. This could change the placement testing you need and what group you have been assigned to for registration day!
6. Send your “official” transcripts. 
    • This includes official documents: 
        o High School with your graduation date
        o GED completion
        o Concurrent Enrollment transcripts from the college you’ve received credit from
        o AP/CLEP exam scores from the College Board
        o Transcripts from any other college credit that you’ve received.
7. Turn in your housing application. 
    • On-campus residency requirement for freshmen students 
        o Exempt if: Students who permanently reside within a 60 mile radius of Sterling 
        o It is highly encouraged that all freshmen explore living on the Northeastern campus for a more positive college transition, as well as a more successful academic and social experience.

8. Turn in your Immunization Records: 2 Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) shots for all students and Meningitis if you’re living in the residence halls. 
    • Brought with you on Registration Day
    • Mailed to Student Success Center, 100 College Avenue, Sterling, CO 80751
    • Emailed to njcstudentsuccesscenter@njc.edu
    • Or faxed to (970)521-6771
9. Log into your Student Portal (NJC Access) and activate your email.  
    • You will need your S# and Password
    • Log in to the Access NJC Portal
    • First time logging in? Contact Records at 970-521-6658 for your first time login information. 
    • Click on the student email icon in the upper right hand corner and follow the instructions. 
    • You can also choose to have your personal email forwarded to your account
10. Order your iPad. 
    • Northeastern is an iPad college and every student is required to have an iPad. You do not need to bring your iPad to Registration Day. However, there will be an informational iPad Session and the iPad Champion will be here if you have questions or need help setting up your device.
