How to Register for Courses at NJC

AccessNJC

If you have not applied for admission, you'll need to do that in order to obtain an S number and register for courses.

Online Registration Steps:

  1. Log on to AccessNJC here.  
  2. Sign in using the following information for User Name & Password:
    • User ID = Student ID, starts with a S and is followed by 8 digits (S00012345 example)
    • Password = 1st time you log in your password is your six digit date of birth (ex. February 14, 1987 = 021487)
    • If this is your first time logging in, you will be prompted to choose a security question and answer. You will also be prompted to change your password.
  3. Once you have successfully logged in, Click the Student tab
  4. Find the Registration Tools channel at the top of the center column.
  5. Click the Add or Drop Classes link 
  6. Select the term
  7. Make sure NJC is selected as the college
  8. Enter CRN (course reference number (s) ) you are enrolling in
  9. Choose submit changes
  10. Authorize the College Opportunity Fund (COF)
  11. To review your schedule choose Return to Menu
  12. To return to AccessNJC, click the Back to Student Tab link in the upper left.
  13. If you encounter problems, call the NJC Records Office at 970.521.6700

How to Print a Detailed Schedule

  1. Log on to AccessNJC here. (See above for details on first time logins)
  2. Click on the Student Tab 
  3. Locate the Registration Tools channel at the top of the center column 
  4. Click on the Detailed Student Schedule link 
  5. Click on the Print This Page button at the bottom
  6. If you encounter problems, call the NJC Records Office at 970.521.6700 

Check Your Grades

  1. Log on to AccessNJC here. (See above for details on first time logins) 
  2. Click the Student tab 
  3. Find the Student Grades channel in left column, third box down
  4. Select a term and click Go. Your grades will be displayed when the page refreshes
  5. If you encounter problems, call the NJC Records Office at 970.521.6700 


If you need to order your TRANSCRIPTS online

  1. Log on to AccessNJC here. (See above for details on first time logins)
  2. Click the Student tab 
  3. Find the Student Information channel at the top of the left column
  4. Click Official Transcript Request
  5. Enter the required information to submit the request. 
  6. These transcripts will be printed in the Records Office in 1-3 days and can be mailed from that office.

How to activate your NJC Student E-mail account

  1. Log on to AccessNJC here. (See above for details on first time logins) 
  2. On the Welcome Tab, find the Student Email channel in the left column, second channel down.
  3. Click the Active your Student Email Here link.
  4. You will now see your new e-mail address. It might be a good idea to write it down. 
  5. Click the Back to Welcome Tab link in the upper left. This will take you back to AccessNJC. 
  6. At the top of the AccessNJC page, find and click the Student Email Icon.
  7. In the new window, enter your student email from step 4 and your password.
    1. First Login Password Information: Your password will be set to your birthday, in the form of MonthDDYYYY. The month will be spelled out beginning with a capital letter. If your day of birth has only one digit, then a leading “0” is required in front of the digit.
  8. The first time you sign into your account you will be required to create a new password.
