English as a Second Language

In English classes, students:

• Learn life skills that they can use at home, in the community, at the schools, and in the workplace
• Learn reading, writing, listening and speaking skills that enable them to interact better with the community they live in
• Are exposed to a wide range of academic skills from grammar to the sciences and math. Many students also choose to get their GED and often go on to college or other workplace training programs
• Learn basic computer skills that help them survive in our ever changing technological world
• Learn how to love learning itself.
